Terms of Use
Mana is operated by Silent Spell, the trading name of an independent software developer based in California, USA. In these terms, "Silent Spell," "we," "us," and "our" mean that developer. Contact: support@silent-spell.com.
By downloading, installing, or using Mana, or by purchasing Multi Rings, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Mana. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Mana or make a purchase.
Using Mana
Mana is desktop software for viewing quota information from supported third-party AI vendors. Mana accesses those vendor services on your behalf, using the credentials and local authentication state already present on your Mac for tools you installed and signed in to yourself. You are responsible for holding the necessary rights to those accounts and for using Mana and the connected vendor services in compliance with each vendor's own terms of service, including any terms governing automated or programmatic access. If a vendor's terms prohibit your use, do not use Mana with that vendor.
You instruct and authorize Mana to access each vendor you enable, on your behalf, using your own account and the credentials or authenticated session already stored on your Mac, and you represent that you have the right to authorize that access. Some vendor integrations rely on interfaces that are undocumented, unsupported, or intended only for the vendor's own apps or websites. Such access may be restricted or prohibited by a vendor's terms, may cause the vendor to rate-limit, log out, suspend, or terminate your account, and may stop working at any time without notice. Silent Spell does not represent or warrant that using Mana with any vendor complies with that vendor's terms, and you accept these risks. Silent Spell may disable, remove, or stop supporting any vendor integration at any time, including for legal, contractual, technical, or security reasons.
Third-party services
Mana depends on local vendor tools, vendor APIs, Gumroad, Cloudflare, Apple DeviceCheck, and update/download infrastructure. The vendor interfaces Mana reads are provided by third parties, may be undocumented, and may change, become unavailable, reject requests, or change quota formats at any time without notice. Mana may stop showing a vendor or quota row if the required local auth state or vendor API data is unavailable. Silent Spell does not control these services and is not responsible for their availability, their accuracy, or the consequences of your use of them.
No affiliation
Mana and Silent Spell are not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Cursor, xAI, Gumroad, Apple, or Cloudflare. Product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners.
Open-source acknowledgements
Mana's approach to local vendor quota detection draws on CodexBar, an open-source macOS menu-bar quota tracker by Peter Steinberger, used under the MIT License (Copyright © 2026 Peter Steinberger). With thanks to its authors. This acknowledgement does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by the CodexBar project.
Purchases
Multi Rings is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. A Multi Rings purchase unlocks the Multi Rings feature in the then-current Mana app; it is not a hosted service, service-level commitment, support plan, or guarantee that any feature, update, vendor integration, or third-party service will remain available. All Multi Rings purchases are final and non-refundable except where a refund is required by law. Purchase processing, receipts, taxes, and payment details are handled by Gumroad.
One license covers three Macs. A Mac migration may preserve activation if the local device identity is migrated. At the limit, reset devices from an already activated Mac before activating another one.
Free trial
Mana may offer a time-limited free trial of paid features on a per-device basis. Trials are provided at Silent Spell's discretion: a trial may be limited to one per device, may be shortened, denied, or ended at any time, and may use Apple DeviceCheck and other anti-abuse measures to prevent repeated or fraudulent trials. Silent Spell does not guarantee that any trial will be offered or remain available. When a trial ends, paid features stop working unless you purchase Multi Rings.
Updates
Mana may check for and install updates automatically. Updates may add, remove, or change features, vendor support, quota display behavior, and compatibility.
References to "free updates," "lifetime," or "forever" mean that Silent Spell does not charge an additional or recurring fee for updates to Mana for as long as Silent Spell continues to offer and support the app. They are not a guarantee that Mana, any particular feature, or any vendor integration will remain available indefinitely, and they do not create a perpetual obligation to provide updates or to keep any service running.
Quota accuracy
Quota data is provided for convenience and may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or different from what a vendor shows in its own app or dashboard. Do not rely on Mana as the sole source for important purchasing, billing, operational, or legal decisions.
Acceptable use
Do not use Mana to abuse vendor APIs, bypass license limits, interfere with the license service, reverse engineer license enforcement, or violate third-party terms.
Your license to use Mana
Mana, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Silent Spell and protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these terms, Silent Spell grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to install and use Mana on devices you own or control, for your own use. You may not resell, redistribute, rent, sublicense, or repackage Mana, or reverse engineer it except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law. Product and company names referenced in or by Mana are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify the relevant services.
Disclaimer of warranties
Mana is provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Silent Spell disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranties of availability, security, or accuracy.
Silent Spell does not warrant that Mana will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; that any quota, usage, or reset information will be accurate, complete, current, or available; or that your use of Mana with any vendor complies with that vendor's terms. Mana is a convenience tool only. You use Mana, and rely on anything it shows, entirely at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for your own vendor accounts, credentials, and decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Silent Spell will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost business, loss of goodwill, account suspension, or service interruption, arising out of or relating to Mana or these terms — whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, and even if Silent Spell has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Silent Spell's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to Mana or these terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you actually paid for Mana in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$10.
Your responsibility and indemnification
You are responsible for your use of Mana, for your vendor accounts and credentials, and for complying with each vendor's terms and with applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Silent Spell from and against any third-party claim, and any resulting damages, losses, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees), to the extent the claim arises out of your use or misuse of Mana, your breach of these terms, your violation of any vendor's terms, or your violation of any law or of any third party's rights. This does not apply to any claim to the extent it is caused by Silent Spell's own fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.
Exceptions
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation or exclusion of certain damages, so some of the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — for example, liability for fraud, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
Suspension and termination
Silent Spell may suspend or terminate your license, trial, or access to Mana or the license service at any time, with or without notice, including if you violate these terms or the acceptable-use section, if your activity appears abusive or fraudulent, or where legal, technical, security, or vendor-relationship reasons require it. You may stop using Mana and remove it at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and the general terms below — survive.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the arbitration section below, the state and federal courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to Mana or these terms. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country or state of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings there where applicable law so requires.
Dispute resolution; arbitration; class-action waiver
Please read this section carefully — it affects how disputes are resolved and limits your right to go to court and to participate in class actions.
Except for the carve-outs below, you and Silent Spell agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to Mana or these terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its consumer arbitration rules, rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted in English, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. This agreement to arbitrate is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
Class-action waiver. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you and Silent Spell agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or preside over any class or representative proceeding.
Carve-outs. This section does not require arbitration of: (a) a claim that qualifies for small-claims court, which either party may bring there; or (b) a claim for public injunctive relief, which is not waived by the class-action waiver, is not subject to arbitration, and may be brought in court to the extent it cannot be waived under applicable law (including under California law). Either party may also seek temporary injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual-property or security interests pending arbitration.
Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration and class-action-waiver section by emailing support@silent-spell.com within 30 days of first accepting these terms, stating your name and that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.
If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) will proceed in court rather than in arbitration, and the rest of this section remains in effect. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory right you have as a consumer under applicable law.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Silent Spell regarding Mana and replace any prior understanding. Silent Spell's failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign or transfer these terms; Silent Spell may assign them, including to a legal entity it later forms or to a successor. Mana is provided from the United States and may be subject to U.S. export-control and sanctions laws; you represent that you are not located in, and will not use Mana in, a country or by a person subject to applicable U.S. embargoes or sanctions.
Changes
Silent Spell may update these terms as Mana changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
